- ISAF accolade for GraelTorben Grael, who skippered Ericsson 4 to a convincing victory in the 2008-09 Volvo Ocean Race, has added to his collection of sailing accolades by winning the 2009 ISAF World Sailor of The Year award.
- Gavignet backs changes Frenchman Sidney Gavignet, a veteran of four Whitbread/Volvo Ocean Races, has welcomed the changes to the 2011-12 race format particularly the introduction of an extra Under-30 crew member.
- Delight for Cammas Franck Cammas is delighted to be renewing the French connection with the Whitbread/Volvo as skipper of Groupama. 'It’s the best race we can imagine for offshore racing and it’s wonderful for our team,' he said.
- The French are backGroupama has been confirmed today as an entry for the next two editions of the Volvo Ocean Race. The campaign will be overseen by Franck Cammas. Groupama extends a rich history of French links with the Whitbread/Volvo.
