NEWS ROUND-UP: Kiwi veterans Stu Bannatyne and Erle Williams were among the crew of Alfa Romeo which took line honours in the Sydney-Hobart while Mike Sanderson was second on Wild Oats XI; Groupama 3 is almost home.
This year's Sydney-Hobart field is littered with Whitbread/Volvo sailors - and boats. Among them are the 2005-06 Volvo winner Mike Sanderson, the Salter brothers Guy and Jules, and hometown hero Grant Wharington.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?: Multi-race veterans Jerry Kirby and Jonathan Swain have kept themselves busy since the end of the 2008-09 Volvo. As for another lap, "in a heartbeat" says 53-year-old Kirby.
